Planning For The New Year

For most people, the New Year marks the start of new resolutions and goals.  It’s an opportune time to review the past year and plan for the next both personally and in business. We’ve all had a tough year this year, it’s been a year full of challenges and we have all had to face many obstacles along the way, but I bet those who had a plan won’t be feeling quite as much pain as those that don’t.

So, if you haven’t done so already, it’s time to sit down and plan your business objectives for the year. Normally we would encourage a 12-month plan but with this ever-changing environment, we recommend focusing on just the next 3 months. The key to any plan is to review it regularly.

So, what are your KPIs? Are they measurable? Have you set a timeframe for them and most importantly are they achievable? Most targets can be achieved as long as you have done your research and you have figures to back them up.

Good accounting and management systems are vital to delivering the information you need to make informed decisions. By investing your time in understanding the fundamental of your business, such as your breakeven point and bottom line, you will then be in a better position to move your business forward. We are here to help and provide insights into your business environment. We know that if you have a better understanding of your numbers it will help your business grow.

At TAEL, we provide personalised business planning and advisory, so if you are wanting to sit down with us and look at your numbers, understand your figures and help you figure out your areas of growth get in touch with us to organise an appointment.
